Engaging all layers of an organization around sustainability is a recurrent puzzle. In trying to write an article to address this concern, I got stuck. Really stuck. Blank. Nada. Why? Simply because it seems impossible to address this intractable problem in one go. There are so many aspects to take into account, such as:
Your mindset - What about your views on the others you want to attract? Are they people you need to 'educate'? Are they threats you want to mitigate? Or are they important influencers you expect support from?
Your legitimacy - What role will you choose on this journey? Will you be a passenger or a driver? How will you exercise your leadership?
Your target audience - Do you want to reach the top, middle management or operational people? Beyond your intimate circle of influence, who should your ecosystem partners be?
Your influence - How do you intend to persuade the variety of personalities and backgrounds you will interact with?
Your strategy - What’s your main ambition? How will you engage people? What tactics could you use to do this?
To convey a concise and more dynamic message, I'll do a series of short articles (approx 2 min each) on the subject.
Since our actions are mainly dependent on our thoughts, I’ll start with the question of mindset! Have a look at the first chapter “Your mindset can extend your sphere of influence”
Feel free to share how such an article resonates with you, I’d love to know. Besides, if you want support to become the leader you want for the world you expect, contact me! Here is a form find to further elaborate your ambition and challenges: English
